Look at my sad socks! 😩 Do you get this hole too where your instep, gusset, and heel flap meet in top down socks? If so, save this post to help avoid in the future! I learned this trick from Knitting Pipeline on youtube. Thanks Paula!

❌ Knitting the first instep stitch normally after picking up gusset stitches leaves a gap and creates this hole
❌ Picking up the bar between these stitches seems like it would eliminate this gap but if you knit it normally or twisted, it still usually leaves a gap
✅ Try picking up the legs of the stitch below the bar.
