XJ8L, with a surprise....... Just thought you would like to see some pics of a recent XJ8 LS project project going together at a shop in the Kansas City area. It's a mostly stock looking 99 long wheel base sedan but hiding a cammed LS3 (estimated at some 490 hp) and a 6 speed MANUAL trans under the hood. If you look carefully at the brake master cylinder area you can just barely see the clutch master cylinder outboard of the pedal box itself (and a remote mounted clutch reservoir, black in color, inboard). Despite the horsepower this is a very basic install using our XJ8-LS conversion kit which includes our CAN interface to allow all original electronic systems (stock gauges, AC, speed sensitive steering, etc.,.) in the car to work with the LS. At the time of these pics the car was up and running and able to be moved around under its own power. Some of you may have seen a gold colored XJ8L on Youtube that also ran a 550hp LS3 and 6 speed manual- that was also one of our cars from a few years back, built in the Chicago area. I hope you like these pics and please feel free to ask questions, etc.,. (Note- the blacked out area on the firewall is there to cover the name/branding of a fuel system piece - I usually don't include the name of other suppliers in our photos without their permission)

Ryan Bogert Jaguar Specialties Andrew, did you fabricate new bracket for ls3 swap that would fit AC clutch? As you know, my xjs have your kit with the ls3, but need to refab the passenger mount for AC clutch once everything else is completed. Sep 16, 2022
Jaguar Specialties Author Ryan- Take a look at the Kwik Perfornance high mount AC. I puts the Ac compressor up high on the right side and runs all accessories on 1 belt. They use a Sanden compressor, which is fine for you. Take a look closely at the details. I think that is an option to consider.... Sep 17, 2022
