Hi Team I am Looking at building an extensive list of specialty cafes/roasters in Seoul.
Looking for some solid recommendations. I enjoy filtered coffee and espressos.

gospodinDarkI spent a few days in Seoul and visited various cafes, prioritizing those that roast their own coffee beans. My absolute favorite was FAABS Coffee, located near exit 3 of Saejeol Station (새절) on a small street called 15 Jeungsan-ro 15ga-gil. Unlike in other cafes, the barista here spoke excellent English, was eager to explain how to brew the coffee, and even asked if I needed the text on the label translated so I could understand it. I bought a bag of coffee, and they made me a complimentary cup using those exact same beans right there on the spot, just so I would know what flavor profile to aim for. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it! Looking at the map, I see they have another location in Seosomun, but I haven't been there. I bought the Tanzania Geisha there—200g for 16,000 KRW, which is about 9.50 EUR. That's about 2.5 times cheaper than what I would pay in Europe.
On the very same street (15 Jeungsan-ro 15ga-gil), there is another cafe-bakery called Lion Baker, and just a bit further down, there's another spot that serves breakfast.
There is a Starbucks on the next street over, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. However, you can find some fun backpack keychains there. In my opinion, the best keychain options are the ones related to Jeju Island.Jul 31 like

I hugely enjoyed both the coffee at their café and the coffee beans I got from FourB in Seoul when I was there earlier this year and they have a monthly bean, which I tried in Spring and I would love to try their others. I wondered if anyone would be up for sending me that each month in exchange for some beans roasted in the UK being sent to them? Jul 41 like
