We've outgrown our payroll process

We're up to around 25 employees now and I don't think our payroll process has kept up with the business

Running payroll only takes a few minutes. The time disappears before I even get there because I'm still waiting on approvals, fixing missed hours, adding a new employee or chasing down one last change that came in at the end of the week

None of those things are a big deal on their own but when they all happen in the same week it turns what should be a routine task into something I have to keep coming back to

I think we've outgrown the way we've been handling payroll more than we've outgrown the business itself

Affectionate-Air9111 25 employees was around the point where everything started feeling different for us too. Payroll didn't get harder there were just way more moving pieces leading up to it Yesterday 2 likes
Mother-Economist-131 At around 25 people I stopped trying to optimize the old process and started looking at tools like priority payroll. It didn't fix people forgetting hours but it did make the payroll side less of a project Yesterday 1 like
