This is specific to Type 2 diabetes, which is what I have. You sometimes hear people use the phrase that they have or are trying to "reverse their diabetes." I don't really get what that means. My A1C last time it was checked was 5.4, which is in the healthy range, sure. But I wouldn't say that I have "reversed" or "cured" anything - I know from monitoring my glucose daily that if eat badly my blood sugar will still spike as if I have diabetes because I do in fact have diabetes. I also wake up with a fasting blood sugar that is often my highest number of the day (and def higher than would be expected in someone without diabetes) because my liver is an unhelpful dummy. So like, I definitely still have it. What do people mean when they say that they have reversed it?

Not the hardcore shippers starting another huge fuss again because of a f-ing UNUSED line.
So sick and tired of this and that damn ring.
Some reassuring thoughts (AND tips :3) for those struggling with death anxiety!
Hello! :)
I suffer from severe death anxiety. NDEs don't help me, I've lost practically all hope and I'm almost 100% sure there's nothing after we die (non-existence creeps me out).
This sub hasn't helped much, most users who post here are venting and there's not a lot of people helping and replying, so I wanted to put a small grain of salt and try to soothe you (at least a little) with some of the thoughts that have helped me!
- We are lucky we get to die. And I don't mean this from the 'living forever is terrible angle', even though that is true. I mean it because dying implies we existed in the first place. Have you ever been afraid of non existence, like me? Well, in the scenario that you were not to die you also wouldn't have been born. That's non existence FOREVER!!! No puppies, no sun, no beach, no sky. Yes, we're all going to die. But before that happens, we get to be part of the most beautiful planet in the galaxy.
It genuinely helps to think about that. Sep 6 2 likes
Help my mum find a similar game to E33!
TL:DR
- gameplay needs to be simple enough (story mode appreciated)
- she loves crime mystery books and movies (not too graphic or with gore)
Hello, like I asked in the title: do you have any recommandation for my mother?
After finishing my first playthrough I convinced her to play E33 together, it was her very first videogame EVER, so the standards are high.
She is looking for other games that have amazing stories, but she didn't care much about the gameplay. We played E33 in story mode and she struggled quite a bit, walking around and moving the camera was already hard for her. Many times she just wanted me to beat the bosses because she mostly cared about the plot, not the gameplay.
She was very good at noticing small details and connecting dots during the story: for example she almost instantly understood>!Maelle and Verso were related because of their eye color!<and that >!Verso didn't save Gustave on purpose.!<…
Disco Elysium is my number one recommendation, it's a masterpiece. But people have already mentioned it, so maybe some other well-written isometric RPGs? Those usually have easy mode options for combat and such so it won't be difficult for her to enjoy it. Particularly Baldur's Gate 3 and Planescape Torment, even if the combat in the latter is kinda bad, the story more than makes up for it.
Oh, and Chants of Senaar! It's a game about deciphering the different languages of groups of people living in a huge tower. It's fantastic and the puzzles are interesting without being obtuse. Sep 6 2 likes
DIY tile stickers: renter friendly and joyful!
Used a sample pack of cricut removable vinyls and cut them in the right size to mix and match :)
That is the reversal part, remember to the opposite side, the other direction of (back to doom Town T2D) is still there. You don't nuke the highway, you don't demolish the town of T2D, it's still there (no cure in the standard terms). I feel people should stop trying to label or criticise someone saying reversed T2D or cured my T2D when they made changes, turned that car around on the highway to T2D hell. You maintain your outcomes by keep going in the opposite direction and not getting bogged down with words or falling back into bad habits. The positive changes is not only good for T2D its good for your health as a whole so it should apply to anyone. You don't cure obesity, losing muscle, being unfit, heart and cardiovascular disease, you do a 180 and keep moving in the opposite and right direction Sep 8 1 like
