“Take Me to the River (I Will Swim)” was written in just 30 minutes during a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) retreat in New Zealand by Alex Yurkiv and Thelma Costolo. What began as a simple, heartfelt moment of worship between friends became a song that went viral after it was first shared on @furnaceprayerroomnz in 2023 and has since touched millions of hearts around the world. 🌊

Tragically, Alex passed away in April 2024, at only 19 years old, following a motorcycle accident on the Sunshine Coast. His life was short, but through this song, his voice and spirit will continue to flow like the river he so beautifully sang about with his beloved friends. 💙

This isn’t just music it’s a legacy of faith, friendship, and hope. 🙏
