Social Archiver v1.1.0 - Now with 12 Platforms
Thanks for all the feedback on the initial release! Here's what's new since then.
New Platforms (4 added)
- Pinterest (requested here) - Archive single pins or entire boards. Single pin archiving is most reliable; boards are limited to 20-30 pins due to crawling constraints.
- Substack Notes (requested here) - Save articles and newsletters directly to your vault. Video content not yet supported.
- Mastodon(requested here) - Archive posts from any Mastodon instance. Supports posts, boosts, and quote posts with proper instance-aware URL parsing.
- Bluesky - Archive posts, threads, and reposts with full embed extraction and hashtag support. Also detects bridged Bluesky posts viewed through Mastodon instances (links that start with Mastodon URLs but redirect to Bluesky).
All platforms work with web sharing to your public timeline.
Improvements
- Concurrent archiving stability - Fixed false "Archive failed" notifications when running multiple archives at once
- Timeline filters - Now includes all 12 platforms plus post type filtering
- Persistent preferences - Filter and gallery view settings are saved between sessions
- UI performance - Faster interactions and smoother scrolling in media galleries
- Link preview reliability - More consistent rendering of link cards in archived posts
Coming Soon
- Account subscription - automatically archive new posts from accounts you follow
- Additional platform integrations

fsmontenegro This is interesting. Can it do Linkedin "Saved" posts? As I browse LinkedIn, I'll often "save" an interesting post by someone, but LinkedIn offers no way to organize those. Considering saving them to Obsidian so I can categorize them. Dec 11, 2025 1 like
Jun_imgibble Author Unfortunately, it would require LinkedIn API to get your saved posts all at once. It can fetch single post, or subscribe to a certain person's new post, which is possible through this plugin..:) Dec 12, 2025 2 likes
dudaanton Cool idea, but unfortunately not open source. I'd use it otherwise. Nov 20, 2025
Jun_imgibble Author You can use it later when it is open-sourced some day..:) Nov 20, 2025 3 likes
