What changed across Social Archiver

On Android, the X connect window now closes on its own after you sign in and X shows as Connected. The share sheet recognizes sites by their domain, and the iPhone Lock Screen archive progress shows failures and results properly.

• Connect X (Android): once you sign in, the window closes on its own and X shows as Connected. Before, it stayed on the X home timeline after you signed in. If you already signed in there, just tap Connect X again after updating and it finishes right away.
• Android: disconnecting X or Reddit no longer signs you out of Instagram and Facebook too.
• Share sheet: sites are recognized by their actual domain. Addresses like netflix.com are no longer mistaken for X, and Meta's company sites such as the about.fb.com newsroom are saved as web pages.
• Transcribe appears only on posts with video or audio.
• iPhone Lock Screen and Dynamic Island: when a save fails, the Archiving progress ends right away; when it finishes it shows the title, author and a preview, and tapping it opens the archive. Saves made on other devices, like the desktop app, no longer appear on your iPhone.
• Server and web, already live: Meta's company sites are saved as web pages from older app versions too, and a video another member added to a shared collection shows its transcript.

In a collaborative collection, owners and editors can leave collection notes and highlights on any post, and everyone in it sees them. Your own posts there have every card action again.

• Collection notes: tap the note button on a post in a collaborative collection to leave a note everyone in it sees, with your name. Only the author edits a note; the author, the owner or an editor can delete it, and viewers read.
• Shared highlights: open a post in the reader and select text. Members see the highlight and who made it.
• Your own posts: star, share, tags, delete and Remove from Collection work inside a collaborative collection too.
• New posts: the drawer shows how many posts others added since you last opened a collaborative collection, and opening it clears the count on all your devices.
• Collection feeds show when each post was added ("added 2h ago") instead of when it was archived, and "Added by @name" moved under the author.
• Fix line breaks in the image text (OCR) sheet: on an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, short text is fixed on the phone for free; longer text and Android use Cloud AI (0.5 credits). The words never change.
• Fixed very short meeting notes that never finished syncing, and crash reports no longer include sign-in links or tokens.
• Server and web, already live: the shared collection page shows when each post was added too.

Collection invite links open right in the app. If you're signed in, Accept invite joins with no email to confirm, and the collection opens.

• Invite links: tapped in Messages, Mail or a browser, they open the app's invite screen. Check who invited you and your role, then tap Accept invite.
• If a messenger's built-in browser (KakaoTalk, for example) opens the web page instead, tap Open in the app at the top. Signed in to the app, there's no email to enter again.
• Opened the link while signed out? The invite screen comes back right after you sign in.
• Server and web fix, already live, no update needed: signing in on the web invite page puts the invite in the email link, so the link brings you back to the invite even when it opens in the app or another browser.
• iPhone: 2.4.3 replaces 2.4.2, which was still in review, so it also brings 2.4.1's archiving straight into collections and 2.4.2's fix for every image in Instagram carousels.

Archiving through your connected Instagram account saved only the first two images of a multi-image post. Every image and the like count are saved now.

• With your Instagram account connected, every image of a multi-image post is saved, along with the like count. Until now it often saved only the two images drawn on screen first.
• Archiving a Reel no longer attaches an unrelated image.
• Posts saved before this update stay as they are.
• iPhone: 2.4.2 replaces 2.4.1, which was still in review, so it also brings 2.4.1's archiving straight into collections.
• The same fix is in the desktop app 0.8.3.

Pick collections in the archive window or the share sheet, and the post goes into them as soon as it's saved. The share sheet remembers your last choice and picks it for you next time.

• Archive window: Add to collection, below the URL, lists the collections you can add to, most recently used first, and you can type a name to create one. Nothing is picked by default.
• Share sheet (iPhone, iPad, Android) and the Safari extension on iPhone: tap Add to collection while the post is archiving. Your last choice is already picked; tap it to change or clear it. It's hidden when Auto-close is set to After Submit.
• Archives waiting offline or retried from Activity keep the collections you picked. A collection that can no longer take the post when the archive finishes (you became a viewer, or it's full) is skipped.
• The same option is in the desktop app 0.8.2, the Obsidian plugin 4.9.0, the browser extension 1.11.0 and the CLI 0.1.20.

Collections group posts like folders: share one by link, or invite people to collect together and get notified when they add posts. Post shares gain Anyone with the link, What viewers see and notes options, and you can customize the sidebar and choose how videos play.

• Collections: group posts like folders, separate from tags. A post can sit in several collections, and they open from the drawer, above Tags. Add posts with Add to Collection in a post’s menu; cards show which collections a post is in, and you can search and filter inside a collection.
• Sharing a collection: choose Private, Anyone with the link, or Public. A shared collection’s page updates as you add or remove posts, and public collections also appear on your profile. You also choose what viewers see first (card or reader) and whether to include your notes and highlights.
• Collaborative collections: invite editors or viewers with an invite link. Editors add their own posts, and posts added by someone else show their @username. A member’s notes and highlights show only if they allow it, and posts stay when a member leaves. Members need the latest app too (mobile 2.4.0, desktop 0.8.0).
• Notifications: you’re notified when someone else adds posts, when the owner opens the collection to the link or the public, and (owners) when someone joins with an invite. Bursts are batched every 15 minutes; turn them off with Collaborative collection activity in Settings › Notifications.
• Post shares: a post can also be shared with only people who have the link, and you choose what viewers see first and whether to include your notes and highlights.
• Sidebar (feedback #190): long-press a drawer item to hide it, or use Settings › Behavior › Customize sidebar to toggle and drag items. Your other devices follow the same layout.
• Videos (feedback #191): turn off Open videos fullscreen in Settings › Behavior to play a Mosaic video inside the post, and turn off Rotate landscape videos to keep fullscreen videos upright.
• iPhone: sharing from the Naver app no longer ends with “Not supported.”
• Also fixed: the What to review row in Settings › Review lost its label beside a long summary, and links that merely mention facebook, instagram or threads in their address were taken for those platforms.

The Needs attention switch in Settings matches the other switches, and Korean text no longer breaks mid-word in settings, sheets, comments and notes either. On iPhone, the On-device AI card is as wide as the other cards and the Live Activity in the Dynamic Island no longer looks lopsided. On iPhone, 2.3.8 follows 2.3.6 directly and includes everything from 2.3.7.

• Settings: in dark mode, the Needs attention switch was the only one with a dark knob. It is now white like the others, and its description is spaced like the rows around it.
• Korean line breaks: the whole-word wrapping from 2.3.7 now also reaches settings, sheets, comments, notes and toasts (Android and iPhone).
• iPhone: the On-device AI card in Settings was narrower than the other cards, with extra space below it. It now lines up.
• iPhone: with an archive or recording in the Dynamic Island, the right side looked wide and empty. Both icons are now the same size and balanced, and the recording time sits at the outer edge.
• iPhone: on the App Store, 2.3.8 comes straight after 2.3.6 and includes everything from 2.3.7: the new tour, Read Post from Shorts and Today’s review, and the slimmer review bar. Details are in the 2.3.7 entry of the release notes.

Shorts’ ⋯ menu and Today’s review bar open the archived post in the app, and the review bar is down to one row: Star, Read, Next. New installs get a tour with live demos of saving, the Inbox, Today’s review and AI comments. Hitting the concurrent-archive limit no longer suggests upgrading to Pro, and Korean text no longer breaks in the middle of a word.

• Shorts: the ⋯ menu adds Read Post (the in-app reader) and In Timeline next to Open Original.
• Today’s review: the bar’s Original button always opened the in-app reader, so it is now called Read. The bar is one row (Star, Read, Next); Archive, Tag, Note, Exclude from review and Make a card are under More at the top right.
• In Timeline: from Shorts, Places, Shopping and Authors it used to reset the view and leave you where you were. It now takes you to the timeline.
• Tour: new installs see live demos where a finger saves a post from the share sheet (each phone’s own), reads it in the Inbox and moves it to the Archive, recalls it in Today’s review and asks for an AI comment. Swipe through it or skip it any time.
• The concurrent-archive limit (2 at a time on Free and Pro alike) no longer suggests upgrading to Pro. It says “Too many archives in progress. Try again when one finishes.”, and failed cards saved earlier show the same message. The Obsidian plugin, Chrome extension and desktop app get the same message in their next updates.
• Korean text no longer breaks in the middle of a word (Android and iPhone).
• iPhone: finished archive Live Activities leave the Lock Screen when you open the app.

The long-press preview in Mosaic view opens the original post in one tap. Picking an author in the Inbox no longer mixes in cards for links that failed to archive, long-pressing a quoted card opens the reader, and Today’s review keeps the highlight on screen after Read more.

• Mosaic preview: the preview you get by long-pressing a post now starts with Read (the in-app reader) and Original (the original post). Original used to sit under Share › Open Original.
• Inbox: picking an author, or using the Untagged, transcript or video-shape filters, no longer mixes in cards for links that failed to archive. They still show in the unfiltered Inbox, where you can retry them.
• Long-pressing a quoted or reposted card opens the reader, like every other card. The card’s platform icon still opens the original post.
• Today’s review: opening a long highlight card with Read more keeps the highlight where it was, with the earlier text above it to scroll back to. The desktop app gets the same fix in its next update.

The list you pick a linked account from now searches every author, not only the 500 you archived most recently, so an older account, such as a sub account on the same platform, can be found and linked. Accounts linked on the same platform show the link mark in the Authors list too. On iPhone, Apple Intelligence summaries keep their first sentences.

• Authors list: accounts linked on the same platform show the link mark, with one icon per linked account.
• AI on iPhone: when Apple Intelligence on this iPhone puts each sentence of a summary in square brackets, the first sentences are no longer dropped.
• Summaries the app sends to your Mac to run were fixed on the Mac side (desktop 0.7.12, command-line tool 0.1.17) and need no app update: they no longer come back as fact checks or lose their first sentences.

The What's New window that appears after an update is easier to read. Its header is down to one line so the notes get the room, the summary comes first, and each item is marked with a plain dot. On iPhone, 2.3.4 follows 2.3.2 directly and includes everything from 2.3.3.

• What's New window: the header is one line (What's new · version · date), so the notes get more room, and the summary comes first. When you skipped several updates, your place shows between the Previous and Next buttons.
• The What's New window and the update prompt mark each item with a plain dot instead of a lightning bolt.
• iPhone: on the App Store, 2.3.4 comes straight after 2.3.2 and includes everything from 2.3.3: the What's New window, AI tags and comments on the iPhone without a desktop, Facebook Groups app links, and the Interface Font and text-size fixes. Details are in the 2.3.3 entry of the release notes.

The first time you open the app after an update, it shows what changed in that version. If you skipped a few updates, "Previous" steps back through each release since the one you last saw. Update prompts now appear in the app's language and list what the new version brings. This update also runs AI tags and comments on this iPhone without a desktop, archives links shared from Facebook's Groups app, and fixes the Interface Font and large text sizes.

• What's new: the first time you open the app after an update, it shows that version's changes. If you skipped updates, "Previous" steps back through them, and "View in release notes" opens the entry on this page. A new install doesn't show it.
• Update prompts: the notice about a new version appears in the app's language and lists that version's main changes.
• AI on iPhone: with "This iPhone" chosen for AI comments, tags and comments run on this iPhone even when no desktop is connected. "Automatic" picks this iPhone too when no desktop can take the request.
• Links shared from Facebook's Groups app (forum.facebook.com) are archived as Facebook posts, and a private group post can be retried through your connected Facebook account.
• The Interface Font now applies to every screen, including Settings, filters, text fields and screen titles.
• Meeting and audio notes keep their player on every synced device, not only the one that recorded them.
• Text size: on iPhone, changing the text size while the app is open no longer cuts off text, and the reader body follows at once. At large text sizes, screen titles, Stats periods and the audio player are no longer cut off.

The banners at the top of the screen no longer cover screen titles, search bars or toolbars, and home's "New posts" pill is back. A delete that fails is retried until the server confirms it, and on Android, expanding a very long post such as a YouTube transcript no longer freezes the app.

• Banners: the notices at the top of the screen no longer cover the title and back button of screens such as an author or a place, the search and filter bars on the Authors, Tags, Places and Shopping tabs, or home's search bar and bulk-selection toolbar.
• The "New posts" pill shows up again on home when new posts arrive.
• Deletes: a delete that fails is retried until the server confirms it, so a post you deleted no longer stays on the server and your other devices. A backlog of deletes no longer makes sync fail. The desktop app gets the same fix in its next update.
• Android: expanding a very long post in the timeline, such as a YouTube transcript, no longer freezes the app.
• Cards no longer show up expanded on their own while you scroll.

A Stats screen is now in the menu. It turns your whole library into reading time and books on a shelf split into read, archived and Inbox, and shows what you read this week, this month or this year, what came in against what you read, your platforms, a daily activity map and milestones. Archiving a single post counts it as read.

• Your library: everything you saved, converted to reading time and books, on a shelf split into read, archived and Inbox. One book is about 5 hours of reading, or 300 pages.
• Reading: posts read, time and books for this week, this month or this year, plus what came in against what you read, so you can see whether your Inbox is growing or shrinking.
• Platforms: where you save the most and where you get the most to read, by count or by volume. A daily activity map and milestones such as your first archive and your longest read.
• What counts as read: archiving a single post, from a card or the reader, in Review, with "This post" after a long press, or right from the share sheet. Bulk archive and Inbox auto-archive don't count, and moving a post back to the Inbox removes it. Posts archived before this update show as "Archived", so your reading history starts today. Posts you archive in the desktop app (0.7.7 or later) sync and count too.
• Everything is computed on your phone from your local library; nothing new is sent. Book and page counts are estimates: 238 words a minute, with a Korean, Chinese or Japanese character counting as half a word.
• X: threads saved through your connected X account keep the author's follow-up posts in the post instead of as its first comment.
• The tag sheet's return key now closes it. When nothing matches your search, it still creates that tag.
• Saving through your connected Instagram or Facebook no longer keeps an expired media link as a broken image or video.

Share a Story from the Instagram app and Social Archiver archives its photos and videos through the Instagram account you connected in the app. When that account has several current Stories, you pick which to keep, and several picks become one archive. Sharing Stories in a row brings their pickers back to back while saving runs in the background. Today's review is rebuilt around recall: cards open as a question, each day's set draws from your whole library, and Home shows your progress and streak.

• Instagram Stories: share one from the Instagram app and it is archived through your connected Instagram. Your Instagram login stays on your phone; only the Stories you pick are uploaded.
• The account's current Stories appear as thumbnails, with the one you shared already selected. Several picks become one archive; a lone Story saves right away.
• Share Stories in a row and their pickers come back to back while earlier picks save in the background. A Story shared twice is asked about once.
• If Instagram is not connected yet, the share sheet tells you how to connect it. Story cards show the author and media, without an "Instagram story by" line.
• Today's review: a card with a recall question opens as the question, and the answer stays covered until you tap. Short posts show the author's own words; the AI summary leads only for long reads.
• Each day's set draws from your whole library. The review row on Home shows today's platforms, the count, how far back the posts go, your progress and this week's streak.
• Fixed opening review from a notification restarting a finished day, and banners covering the top of review and the first posts on Home.
• Black brand logos such as X, Threads and TikTok now show in dark mode. Expired or missing media links are no longer saved as broken files when exporting to Immich or saving to Files.
• Server fix, already live, no update needed: sharing a Story link without a connected Instagram now explains that Stories need a login, instead of a generic failure.
• Android: fixes a rare crash when focus moves through a scrolling list, and a failed on-device transcription model download no longer shows the model as ready.

On tag and place screens, tapping a post in mosaic view, or Open in its long-press preview, did nothing. Posts open in the reader again, and a new "In Timeline" action takes you from a tag, place or author screen back to your full timeline, landing on that post. Mosaic tiles and previews now show when a post was published and archived, search shows all of its results at once, and picking an existing tag no longer also creates the half-typed text as a tag. On Android, this update also brings the 2.2.12 fixes.

• Tapping a post on a tag or place screen, or Open in its long-press preview, opens it in the reader again.
• New "In Timeline" action: from a tag, place or author screen it returns to your full timeline and lands on that post.
• Mosaic tiles and the long-press preview show when a post was published and when it was archived.
• Search results appear all at once and match the result count, instead of a few first and the rest seconds later.
• Picking an existing tag from a search and pressing done no longer creates the half-typed text as a new tag. Creating a share link confirms the copy with a vibration.
• Server fix, already live, no update needed: tapping Create Share Link again on an already-shared post returns the same link instead of publishing the post to your profile a second time.
• Android: this update also carries the 2.2.12 fixes: "not a public post" retries through your connected session, Naver Map pin links as places, and clean-up of failed shared cards.

On iOS 18 and later, 2.2.11 could quit within seconds of opening the app or right after saving a post: the Spotlight index opened the archive database through a second copy of SQLite, and the two copies could not see each other's locks. 2.2.12 reads through the app's own database engine only. The build also carries the "not a public post" retry through your connected session, Naver Map pin links as places, and clean-up of failed shared cards. Android is not affected by the crash; the other fixes reach Android with its next update.

• Fixes the iOS crash within seconds of opening the app. iOS 18 and later, 2.2.11 only; saved data was not damaged.
• A "not a public post" failure on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit or X now retries through your connected session, with a hint to connect one under Settings › Integrations.
• Dismissing a failed shared archive card also removes its temporary entry.
• Naver Map pin share links (naver.me) are recognised as places.
• iOS only: Android is not affected by the crash, and the other fixes ship with the next Android update.

On iOS 18 and later the app indexes your archives in Spotlight. Pull down on the Home Screen, type a title or a phrase from the body, and the archive shows up in the results; tapping it opens that post directly, even when the app was not running. The index follows every archive and delete automatically, and the first launch after the update reindexes everything once. The Shortcuts app gets a "Save a link" action that files a URL into your archive without opening the app. On iOS 27, Siri understands the app through App Intents, so requests like "open my archive" or "search my archives for …" route into it. Korean Siri support follows Apple's iOS 27.2 schedule. iOS only — nothing changes on Android.

• Archives are indexed in Spotlight (iOS 18+) — searchable by title and by a phrase from the body, not just the title.
• Tapping a Spotlight result opens that post directly, even from a cold start.
• The Shortcuts app gets a "Save a link" action that archives a URL without opening the app.
• On iOS 27, Siri can open an archive or search your library. Korean Siri support follows Apple's iOS 27.2 schedule.
• iOS only — nothing changes on Android.

The preview you get by long-pressing a post in Mosaic view now carries the reader's full action set: Like, Share, Note, Links, AI Comment, Transcribe, Tag, Archive and Delete in a two-row grid, with Share and Delete opening the reader's full menus. It used to show six, and everything else meant opening the post. Under the hood, the timeline, the reader, the preview and Shorts now run their actions through one shared piece of code — and a few things got fixed on the way: a star or archive from another screen shows up immediately, Transcribe in the reader shows its setup sheet when one is needed, and Open Original is in every share menu.

• Long-press a post in Mosaic view and all nine reader actions are there in a two-row grid; Share and Delete open the full menus.

An iPhone on iOS 26 or newer with Apple Intelligence on can now suggest tags on the device itself. The takeaway on a daily review card can be written there too — it works offline and without signing in, but it is the one action that runs without you tapping anything, so it ships off and you turn it on in Settings. We also fixed on-device AI answering a Korean post in Spanish; it now follows the language of the post. One change is already in effect with no update at all: saving a YouTube video now brings its comments and transcript along, on every device you use.

• Tag suggestions run on this iPhone — no internet, no credits.
• Daily review takeaways can be written on the device. It ships off; turn it on in Settings.
• Fixed on-device AI answering in a different language from the post.
• Sharing a file from the share sheet now tells you why it cannot be archived.
• Fixed the message that called a site refusing us a private post.
• YouTube archives now include comments and the transcript. This is a server fix — it is already live, with no update needed.

An iPhone on iOS 26 or newer with Apple Intelligence on can now run summaries, key points, glossary, reformat, translation, tag suggestions and place extraction on the device itself. The post never leaves your phone, and it costs no internet and no credits. Pick “This iPhone” as the execution target in the AI comment sheet; your last choice is remembered. Work that needs a web search, like fact check, still needs Cloud AI or the desktop. Also: a newly saved archive now shows up in a search you already have open, a refused transcription download tells you why, and the daily review’s card swipe works again.

• This iPhone: run summary, glossary and custom prompts on iOS 26+ with Apple Intelligence — no account, no credits.
• Execution targets are now Cloud AI, Desktop and This iPhone, and your last choice is remembered.
• Fact check, tag suggestions, translation and place extraction do not run on the phone — those use Cloud AI or the desktop.
• A newly saved archive shows up in a search you already have open.
• A refused transcription download now tells you why.
• Fixed the daily review card swipe, which did not respond.

After the last card of today's review you can swipe back or tap Look back. An author page with linked accounts lets you pick which accounts it shows and subscribe to all of them at once. The author page search can hand your query to the creator's own platform, and ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok shares get their own icon and filter.

• Daily Review: swipe back after the last card, or tap Look back.
• Linked accounts: pick which accounts show, subscribe to all at once, sort Authors by platform.
• Search a creator's posts on their platform from the author page.
• A Last viewed sort, and the share sheet says Already archived for a saved link.
• ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok shares get their own icon and filter.

Videos up to five minutes can now be downloaded and transcribed on the phone, with no desktop app or Obsidian plugin needed. This worked before whenever the file already sat on the device — what was missing was the step in between: with no local copy, the app sent you straight to the desktop setup screen instead of offering to fetch it. AI comments and transcription are also reachable from the mosaic and reader action sheet, so you no longer have to go back to the list. The AI engines explain themselves too: Cloud AI and Local AI each say what they do, and when one cannot run, the reason is visible instead of hiding behind a small warning icon. A badly saved or failed archive can be reported from the card itself.

• Videos up to five minutes download and transcribe on the phone — no desktop app or plugin.
• AI comments and transcription are in the mosaic and reader action sheet.
• Cloud AI and Local AI say what they do, and a blocked action shows its reason.
• Report a badly saved or failed archive straight from the card.

Tags typed in the share sheet while saving from another app were dropped instead of landing on the saved post. They are now held against the job and applied the moment the archive finishes — a server-side fix, so anything you share from now on gets its tags even before you update the app. Notes got some care too: a note longer than 5,000 characters used to fail to sync without saying so, and the limit is now 10,000. Copy, edit and delete moved off the right edge of the note to a row at its end, there is a new copy button, and a long note collapses with a show-more toggle.

• Tags typed in the share sheet are applied when the archive finishes — a server fix, so it works before you update.
• Notes over 5,000 characters no longer fail to sync; the limit is now 10,000.
• Copy, edit and delete sit at the end of the note, with a new copy button, and long notes collapse.

X changed its post page, and posts archived through your logged-in X session started carrying the author line, the localized timestamp, the inline script that localizes it and the view count around the body. The capture now reads the new layout properly — body, author and the real posting time. The server was fixed as well, so new X archives are clean even before you update. Posts that were saved with the junk can simply be re-archived. Dates in the list and the reader now show the year when a post is not from this year ("Sep 7, 2024"); this-year posts keep the short form.

• X posts archived through your session no longer carry the timestamp script, view count or author line. Re-archive any post that was saved with them.
• The server ignores such captures too, so new X archives are clean even before you update.
• List and reader dates show the year for posts from other years ("Sep 7, 2024").

A daily review starts from the "Today's review" row on Home or from Review in the drawer. Five of your saved posts come back each day — from your inbox, starred posts and posts you noted. Nothing is graded; swipe through and read. Star, archive, tag or note right from the card, or exclude it, and turn any post or highlight into a question-and-answer or fill-in-the-blank card that returns when you are likely to have forgotten it, where you grade your recall. Long articles and transcripts show a short AI gist with a question to think about instead of the first paragraph, with Show original for the full text (needs cloud AI consent in Settings). Settings › Review is one switch plus daily count, what to include (inbox, archived, starred, noted, popular, subscriptions) and notifications (reminder push and email digest). Archived posts are excluded by default; you filed them, so they count as done. If you use inbox auto-archive, Home warns you a couple of days before items move, and the list has Keep in Inbox to exempt a post for good. Also: transcripts scroll inside timeline cards, Delete joins the reader's More menu, author stars no longer save inverted, and Pinterest pin.it links archive as the pin.

The mosaic view on the tag and shopping screens only rendered posts with media and left articles and other image-less posts as blank tiles; they now appear as title-and-excerpt tiles, exactly as on the home screen. On iOS, 2.2.2 never shipped, so this update also carries everything from 2.2.2: delete from the mosaic preview, the AI prompt library, subscription health, the "Linked" authors filter, and the subscription limit counter.

Share link creation no longer fails repeatedly after a cold start on a flaky network, and attached images on the feedback screen can be tapped to view full size.

A sync reliability update. Signing in again with the same account — say, after a session expired — wiped the device and re-downloaded tens of thousands of posts from scratch. The reset now happens only when the account actually changes; a same-account sign-in keeps your data. Also fixed: an interrupted first sync left some posts permanently missing on that device — it now resumes where it stopped, and on a device that already drifted, pull to refresh finds and fills in posts that exist only on the server. Finally, sharing a post whose original was deleted (like a removed tweet) kept retrying on every app launch and reappearing in Activity; it now fails once and stays failed, with a manual retry on the card if you want it.

The last update made tapping a mosaic tile open its photo or video fullscreen, but on video tiles it did nothing and you landed on the post body instead. The reader does not autoplay video, so at the moment of the tap there was no player to present fullscreen, and the call never ran. The tap now brings the player into existence first, so the video opens. Separately, the long-press preview gained a speaker button. Previews start silent — a long press is easy to trigger by accident and often happens in public — and turning sound on carries across the rest of the app.

The mosaic exists to show photos and video, yet tapping a tile always opened the text first.
