An apps to save Google AI Mode Chats Seamlessly Without Ads or Formatting Issues?

Normally, I use Google (AI Mode) to ask questions.

The issue I have is not being able to easily and seamlessly save the chat for my records.

  1. Copying the chat is impossible because a bunch of ads are also selected (unavoidable).
  2. Using the Obsidian Web Clipper, those ads are also captured, and the chat’s formatting is lost, making it messy and unreadable.

Is there any app or method that can save all these chats seamlessly?

Pinned Downtown-Art2865 honestly the cleanest fix I found for this kind of thing is using Safari’s reader view on the AI Mode page, then ⌘P → save as PDF. Works because reader strips the sidebar columns where the ads live. Vivaldi’s reader chokes on AI Mode because it loads content lazily, not because reader mode is wrong as an idea. If you want markdown specifically, MarkDownload after expanding all responses is the closest you’ll get without writing a bookmarklet. May 11 2 likes

Pinned reply hugoinformatique Reeder or ReadKit can sometimes handle this if you pipe it through RSS, but for Google AI Mode specifically it's tricky. A more direct approach is using a browser extension like MarkDownload which can capture the page content as Markdown and skip the ads. Works well for clean chat exports. May 8 1 like
Pinned nez329 Author I tried the MarkDownload browser extension; it really does work, to some extent.
Other than taking a screenshot of the whole chat list, this is the closest solution it seems.
It’s also quite flexible, offering the option to save as a PDF or copy as markdown.

hugoinformatique Good to hear it worked! The PDF save option is really handy for archiving longer research threads. If you want even cleaner output, the Obsidian Web Clipper extension also does a great job converting AI chat pages into structured markdown notes. May 9 1 like
nez329 Author The obsidian web clipper does not work well. As mentioned in my post, the ads are also captured and it makes the whole capture very messy. May 9 2 likes
Pinned reply MaxGaav There's a Gemini app for Mac. Which behaves pretty obtrusive, So I uninstalled it again.

Instead I use a PWA made with Brave browser. If you don't know what it is, just search for 'How to make a Progressive Web App with X' (fill in the browser of your choice).

From there it's very easy to copy prompts and answers. May 8 1 like

I created a PWA with Vivaldi, the doo-doo (ads) at the right side is still being displayed. May 8 1 like
Pinned MaxGaav Just go to: https://gemini.google.com/app Don't give it a prompt. And then make the PWA. There shouldn't be anything else on the page in this way. I did this with Brave. Made PWAs for other AI models as well. May 8 1 like

I asked the same questions but somehow felt google AI mode was easier to understand.
