Is yoga a workout or a practice? I used to think it had to be one or the other. But the more I teach and the more I move, the more I think that's the wrong question. Yoga can be the most physical thing you do all week — and that's completely valid. It can also be the thing you do to sit with yourself, no intensity, no goals, just presence — and that's equally valid. What I actually believe is that almost any movement can become a yoga practice. A handstand session, a run, even lifting weights. If you show up with awareness, if you're present in your body instead of just going through the motions — that's the practice. That's what yoga has always been pointing at. So the real question isn't workout or practice. It's whether you're actually there while you're doing it. Let me know what yoga means to you — I'm genuinely curious.
