I came to yoga for the body, like so many others, chasing flexibility, strength, maybe even a better shape. And yes, that's satisfying. But over time I realized that's just the surface. Long before studios, playlists, and Instagram, yoga was about freedom, about noticing yourself beyond all the doing and performing. The postures were never the goal -they were preparation to breathe, to observe, to sit with yourself, to see clearly. The practice slowly taught me to listen, to stay, to confront patterns I wasn't even aware of. The asanas are powerful, but they're only the doorway. The real work is what yoga reveals about your mind, your habits, your awareness, and how you move through life. Fitness can be part of it, but yoga is so much more than that.

maka.roots Although this makes so much sense, all the attempts to say that yoga is this and not that are e doomed to failure because in the end, everything is interconnected and all descriptions come from ego. Feb 25
