The hardest pose isn't handstand. It's walking into your first yoga class and not running back out. Yoga doesn't require you to be read. It requires you to show up. A little unsure, a little stiff and definitely a little awkward. That's not a problem, that's your unique starting point. And from there your individual path can unfold and maybe you'll be surprised where you end up.

When I started out I practice a lot with YouTube before I had the courage to go into a yoga class, but one that was for men only. After taking this class a couple times, I decided for myself I was ready to go into a class for everyone with the same teacher that I already trusted. And from there my story did unfold. How did you start?

malulaniyoga I’m not sure beginners are connecting with images of L-sits and handstands, but that’s just me. If we want beginners not to worry about pressure of having to perform, we need to look at ourselves first and what we’re asking them to mimic. Mar 5
