Another great FREE event April 11th and 12th. Spring Fever in the Garden is perfect for anyone who loves plants and gardening and wants to work on their green thumb. The amount of vendors lining Plant Street (which is closed off) is impressive thanks to the work of the @bloomandgrowgardensociety who organize this event. There’s live music, food, sidewalk art contest, and a kids zone!

After our big yarn art project last week, I wanted to try out a simple version for younger children. We created a ‘yarn pen’ by taking the middle out of a ball point pen and threading yarn through the middle. We stuck a piece of sticky backed plastic onto the table with masking tape, sticky side up. We then drew onto the sticky backed plastic with the ‘yarn pen’ filling it with patterns and colour.
