To all healers, are we crazy? Or are they crazy?
I already complained in the previous post that these DPS players are insane, and not utilizing cover efficiently, or not adapting to the group team to see if they need to use cover efficiently or not. Just out and dying, play how you want sure, but it's giving me a headache.
chrismurraylaw Or, as a counter for fun, expecting a DPS player to adapt to a healer is the same problem in reverse. You're saying 'stay in cover near the healer' is the correct way to play rather than an option. Whereas another is they charge ahead for close combat while you stick to them like glue. No right or wrong style. Just preference. 4h ago 6 likes
IneffectualGamer If the healer is getting you up when you mess up. Yes, you should adapt. Otherwise, you are using them to carry you and that is selfish. If you don't mind the healer not helping you and you are happy to die and respawn, I see no problem. 1h ago 1 like
oflowz This isn’t accurate though. Only some builds can charge out and fight in close combat. I personally main healing builds and I don’t try to dictate what dps players do. I just let people like the OP is complaining about die. If they know what they are doing they won’t constantly die so it’s not something to worry about. "This isn’t accurate though. Only some builds can charge out and fight in close combat." That's not a disagreement or correction to anything I said. It's just a statement. Only some builds can do CQC. Yeah. True. Just like only some builds can effectively use foam or drones or grenades or snipers. OP's saying "adapt to your healer." I'm saying that's one option, and there are others too. Their post is a trope. "People who poorly play a style I don't like are bad." And again, yeah. But people who play the style they like poorly are bad too. And look at how they framed it. Someone has to be crazy. Us or them. They're insane. OPs drawing lines in the sand, slinging mud, and cooking up tribes for an internet fight. The entire point of a game designed around builds is that there's more than one way to play and speaking just for myself, I'm a little bored of people proclaiming their subjective preference as an objective standard, all the moreso when they get mean about it. 3h ago 4 likes
OxBull97 Author Explain where I said stay near the healer? Explain where? I tried to stick to them like glue but multiple people are splitting off all over the place I can't do that so what are you saying?! That's the problem with your little "are WE healer...?" trick, dragging others into your claims will happen fast the other way around, too. Okay but first I'll have to explain to you what an implication is and we might have to go into reading between the lines for a little bit too. 3h ago
Forsaken_Cover_2101 As somebody who has played a dps and a healer randos I dumb as fu they don't know how to play they think having a healer makes them invincible. I personally had a argument with somebody explaining game mechanics on why face tanking a t8 spawn door was a bad idea but "it's fine you heal me and if your heals don't work like that than you suck" like wtf dude. He proceeded to die and rage quit. 4h ago 5 likes
