Every Friday afternoon, this scheduled task runs in Claude Cowork while I'm still in meetings or maybe I'm walking my cute dog, Marlow :-) By the time I close my laptop, I have a digest of every loose end across active clients. Do yourself a favor and start using scheduled tasks to make your life easier.
Here's the actual prompt. Make it yours:
Run my weekly client status digest for [list your active clients or projects].
Step 1 — Pull context from this week:
Check Google Calendar for any client meetings or calls from Monday through today. Note who attended and what the meeting was for.
Search Gmail for email threads with [list your clients or stakeholders] from the past 7 days. Flag any threads with no reply, open questions, or pending decisions.
Scan Google Drive for files created or modified this week in client folders. Note what was produced or updated and for which client.
Search Google Drive for any Google Meet recordings saved this week. For each one, pull key decisions, action items, or unresolved questions from the transcript or summary.
Step 2 — For each active client, produce a short status block:
What moved forward this week
What's stalled or unresolved
What needs a follow-up email before Monday (specific: who and what)
Step 3 — Close with a priority stack: Top 3 follow-up actions I need to take before EOD Friday or first thing Monday, ranked by urgency.
Step 4 — Email the digest to [your email] with subject line "Weekly Client Digest — [current date]".
Format as a clean digest I can skim in under 5 minutes.

To set it up:
- Open Cowork in your Claude Desktop app
- Type /schedule
- Paste the prompt
- Set the cadence to weekly, Friday afternoon (or whenever you want it)
This is perfect for agency account folks who juggle multiple clients and busy corporate folk who juggle multiple projects at a time. So literally everyone.
Set it up, you'll be glad you did on Friday afternoon :-)
Love that you shared the 'how to' here. It can seem overwhelming to start. 👏 Apr 27 2 likes
