Government: We're going to spend recklessly & fund it by devaluing everyone's savings. Smart people: We're going to buy assets the government can't devalue. Government: Those greedy smart people won't let us devalue their savings, we should pass laws to seize their assets. Dumb people: Why is everything always getting more expensive? It's like so weird... Government: It's those greedy billionaires. They are stealing all your money! We should seize their assets so the government can use it for important government things.
