“There are so many misconceptions about yoga. That you have to be flexible. Calm. Spiritual. Injury-free. Female. “The type.” I believed some of them myself before I ever stepped onto a mat. But yoga doesn’t ask you to qualify. It doesn’t require a certain body, personality, or belief system. It meets you exactly where you are - stiff or strong, skeptical or curious, overwhelmed or grounded. The practice adapts. The breath adjusts. The shapes can be modified. What matters isn’t how you arrive, but that you arrive. Most of the barriers around yoga are stories we’ve absorbed from the outside. The actual practice is far more inclusive, far more human.
