The recommended amount for women is around 25 g and for men around 30 g a day, but most people never get close to that amount. You have to eat such a large amount of fruit and vegetables to actually get that amount, and high fiber foods like oatmeal and berries often have textures that are mushy and unpleasant to a lot of people So how exactly do people pack their diet with enough fiber? Are there other high fiber foods that are just not as well known and have more palatable textures ?
